Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen within business support in Social Work for a Peripatetic Admin Assistant. The Peripatetic role, based in Galashiels, is unique within Business Support. Peripatetic staff play an essential role in the effective functioning of all Business Support services provided by Locality Functions and Specialist Services within the Scottish Borders. The role provides emergency and unplanned cover, undertaking any ad hoc work and carrying out essential financial tasks, ensuring and promoting continuity and generic working practices, having an extensive working knowledge of Business Support processes and procedures and providing dedicated support by producing, rewriting and updating Business Support procedures. This role would require travelling amongst various locations across the Scottish Borders.

Essential

Good general education level, including 3 standard grades or demonstrable equivalent work experience and training
