Job Description

Working with minimal support and guidance using initiative and knowledge, to contribute as part of the Children and Families Business Support Team to the effective and efficient delivery of a high quality comprehensive and responsive service. Working within the framework of Stirling Council policies and procedures, national guidelines and legislation, supporting all levels of staff within the Service. The post will have autonomy to carry out and co-ordinate, statutory and regulatory business support processes to meet a broad range of Children and Families requirements. Tasks will be routine and frequently non-routine, which will require the postholder to continuously reprioritise tasks to meet urgent service priorities. To provide a professional, efficient and effective first point of contact for service users, carers, families, third-sector organisations and partner agencies contacting Children and Families, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality and flexible service which is customer focused. Receive and record referrals including Child Welfare and Child Protection which may be complex, sensitive. Ensure an appropriate response, using the knowledge and experience of National guidelines and Service Procedures. The post holder will be reactive and able to identify the need to prioritise. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Children and Families Intake Team, Youth Justice Team, and The Forth Valley Emergency Duty Team. Provide admin support to the Forth Valley Emergency Duty Team working within strict timescales to ensure accurate data is recorded in order to provide statistical information on a daily basis. Provide lead responsibility for assigned tasks in relation to Finance and Looked After Children data. The post holder requires to be solution focused and forward thinking to identify and contribute to continuous improvement to established and new processes. The post holder requires to be flexible and adaptable to meet all changing priorities across the Service.
