If this sounds like you read on: An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Support Worker to join our Home Safety Service team.

The service uses technology to support individuals to live independently at home and is continually evolving, adapting, trialling and testing new technology, creatively finding solutions to promote independence.

The successful applicant will have a strong desire to develop the use of technology and be confident in their ability to demonstrate this. Working as part of a team and supported by a Team Leader, the applicant will develop the use of Technology Enabled Care, assist in the delivery of the analogue to digital program and support existing Telecare provision with a clear understanding of service user’s needs putting them at the centre of service delivery.

The applicant will enjoy multi-tasking, working to deadlines, supporting colleagues and linking with other service areas across the Health and Social Care partnership.

The applicant should enjoy working with people, have empathy and enjoy working in an environment which is fast paced with no two days the same with a commitment to providing a high standard of service to people in their own homes across West Lothian. Strong IT and digital skills with a working knowledge of technology are also essential.

The service operates over seven days with a shift pattern which includes weekend working therefore a shift allowance would be payable in addition to the salary.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
