You will be responsible for the day to day preparation of meals, snacks and any form of food preparation required to meet the dietary requirements of the residents within the care home.
In the absence of the cook you will be in charge of the day to day running of the kitchen. In addition to food preparation this will include such areas as stock control management and rotation, cleanliness of the kitchen, knowledge and understanding of food safety legislation.
Elementary Food Hygiene certificate is essential and a willingness to undertake further training as necessary. Previous experience is also essential.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
