Principal Teacher, Our Lady Of Lourdes Primary School , 35 hours per week, Permanent, Closing Date 10th May 2024

Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School is a Roman Catholic primary school for the children of Blackburn and Seafield in West Lothian Council.

The current roll of the school is 157 school pupils. Staffing is in accordance with authority guidelines. This comprises of a Head Teacher, a Principal teacher and 13 teachers (part-time and full-time), including an RCCT Teacher. In addition there is a school admin and 4 pupil support workers.

There is an active Parent Council and the school has good links with our local community. The school values collaboration and has strong collegiate links with cluster schools. Our Lady of Lourdes continues to offer pupils a wide range of learning experiences in an inclusive, nurturing environment where creativity, independence and self-directed learning is promoted and encouraged. The school manages improvement throughout the session by implementing the main priorities detailed in the School Improvement Plan.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.

The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18.
