St. Paul’s PS Nursery are seeking to recruit an additional member of staff to become part of their Early Year’s team to support pupils with Additional Support Needs. Our early years setting currently offers placements to pupils from Monday – Thursday (7:40am – 6:15pm) and Friday (7:40 -12:40pm) over 52 weeks of the year.
The post holder will be a member of the nursery team within the setting supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer. The post holder will develop and promote high quality learning experiences for all children within the establishment, will ensure the effective use of positive behaviour strategies for all children in partnership with staff, parents and other appropriate professionals. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Early Years Practitioner who is keen to develop outdoor play experiences.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
