Exciting opportunity to join the Domestic And Sexual Assault Team (DASAT). Are you interested in expanding your knowledge and working within a specialised area of domestic abuse work? Are you interested in the judicial process? If so, this is the post for you.
The Court Advocacy Worker post involves contacting individuals within 24 hours of a reported incident of domestic abuse, and liaising with Police, COPFS and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
This post is mainly office based supporting victim of domestic abuse by providing advocacy from referral and continuing through the court process.
Excellent report writing, IT and communication skills are required.
You will have operational experience of working with adults, mainly women who are or have experienced abuse. You will understand the complexities of all forms of trauma and abuse and its impact on individuals and their children.
You will have the ability to work as part of a team, liaise and work with a variety of partner organisations in order to promote the best interest of individuals and their children.
