Lecturer in Esports and Technologies (0.74FTE) - Computing and Creative Media
Hours:     25.9 hours per week
Salary:     £35,170 - £43,357 per annum – (Actual Salary £26,025 - £32,084 per annum pro rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and organised individual to join our highly qualified, professional Computing team as a fractional lecturer in Computing and our exciting new subject of Esports.

Applicants should be educated to Degree level in a relevant Computing or closely related subject area.  Applicants should have a background that includes demonstrable experience in Esports, which could be from an academic and/or industry setting.

Teaching experience and knowledge of current national developments in Computing and Esports will be advantageous.  This post may suit someone from industry who has flexibility and the spark to teach their skills and inspire students into emerging careers in esports and technology.

This post will be based at our Gardyne Campus in Dundee, where we have state of the art Esports facilities and well-equipped labs for teaching the range of Computing subjects we offer.

The successful applicant will teach on computing courses at levels from SCQF level 5 (National 5) to SCQF level 8 (HND).  They will also have significant input into the further development and enhancement of our new Foundation Degree in Esports and Creative Media.  The role will involve planning, development, and delivery of high-quality learning and teaching, assessment, and student feedback.

This position is in a dynamic department, committed to developing learners and addressing the skills shortage in industry.
