Job Summary

The School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences at RGU is looking to appoint a specialist E-tutor in Pain Management to support the delivery of pharmacy courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The role is suitable for applicants with a wide range of clinical backgrounds, including nursing, medical, and pharmacy. Annotation as a prescriber and active prescriber experience would also be desirable.

This role is designed as a part-time post (105h/academic year) which may be particularly attractive for applicants who wish to gain some academic experience whilst retaining their base within a specialist clinical practice setting.

Considering the fast paced and evolving landscape of pharmacy education, this is an exciting time to be involved with initiatives within the School. We already have a highly successful course portfolio: the undergraduate Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) course and postgraduate degrees in Clinical Pharmacy Practice and Advanced Pharmacy Practice at MSc level, along with the Pharmacist Independent Prescribing course. We are currently involved in the re-design of the MPharm course and postgraduate course portfolio in response to the new GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) education and training standards and other initiatives such as the Foundation training year, Clinical Academic Fellows, and Consultant Pharmacist programmes.
