Assessor Construction

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Grade 4 Points 18-22 

£28,783 - £31,701 per annum (salary pending pay award and subject to pending job evaluation)

This salary includes £2,500 Market Allowance, which is in place until the outcome of Job Evaluation is confirmed and then will be reviewed.

West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding Construction Assessor in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment to support the delivery of construction programmes.  You will be based in college to facilitate the student’s assessment and planning and will also carry out visits and observation assessment within student work places and ability to travel to meet student needs.

We offer hybrid working with the flexibility to work from home and on our college campus. 

You will be educated to SVQ 3 Carpentry and Joinery (SCQF Level 6) or equivalent in the sector and be assessor qualified or prepared to complete an assessor award within three months of starting. You will have substantial experience within this sector, excellent organisational skills to prioritise effectively and the ability to communicate at all levels in order to help others achieve.  

Those shortlisted will be required to prepare and deliver a presentation

Interviews will take place onsite at West Lothian College the morning of 7th May 2024.
