ABOUT THE JOB

The successful applicant will work as part of one of five teams currently monitoring Tayside’s Public Space CCTV System at Divisional Headquarters, Bell Street, Dundee within D Division


The main function of this role is to provide an efficient service with regard to the operation of the CCTV System, using it to its full potential under the direction of the CCTV Manager.


ABOUT YOU

Applicants must possess the ability to accurately monitor CCTV screens and respond to developing incidents as they unfold whilst simultaneously communicating on Police Airwave Radio and other partner radio networks. Good hand eye co-ordination is essential in this role. Previous experience in a CCTV control room environment would be beneficial in this role.


You will be educated to SQA Standard Grade level (or equivalent) plus previous experience of the office environment and keyboard awareness are essential. In lieu of any formal qualifications relevant practical experience in an office environment is required.


This full time post is permanent and requires standard vetting. You will work an average of 35 hours per week. Applicants should note these positions operate on a shift working basis, 24/7, 365 days a year and frequently these are not suitable for public transport.
