Govanhill Housing Association provides a comprehensive range of services focused on the needs of tenants and owner occupiers in the Govanhill and Merrylee communities. We carry out acquisition and improvement of tenemental stock as well as delivering a new build programme. We work closely with our subsidiary company, Govanhill Community Development Trust, whose community development and regeneration services complement our own role as a social landlord.

We are seeking to appoint someone to work within our Corporate Team assisting with a wide range of tasks regarding facilities management, HR and Health & Safety. As well as this, you will be expected to provide regular cover for our busy reception and so previous experience of working in a similar setting is desirable. A commitment to the delivery of excellence in customer care is essential.

Joining an established small team you will need to be able to manage a fast paced, unpredictable workload and demonstrate thorough experience and sound understanding of the need for discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting.

This role requires the ability to be flexible, working well both as part of a small team and on your own initiative. It is essential that the postholder can demonstrate a high degree of organisational ability, together with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. You will understand and be able to demonstrate a commitment to confidentiality and the need for discretion in this role.

The successfully appointed candidate will be expected to undertake all aspects of administrative support and have a high level of competency in using Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel. We also use PeopleHR and Kelio packages to manage and record our staffing records and previous experience of these would be useful but not essential.

A recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC or SVQ in Administration at Level 3 would be desirable, or significant relevant equivalent experience.

If you share our commitment to providing excellent services to our customers in Govanhill and Merrylee and would enjoy working within this diverse community, you can find further information in the Application Pack which can be obtained from our website.

EVH conditions of service will apply.

Govanhill Housing Association is committed to Equality of Opportunities and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
