JOB PURPOSE:
To provide reception and clerical support within Live Active Blairgowrie
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Tasks
· You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of Live Active Blairgowrie through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers
· To operate the point of sale till system in reception, issuing receipts for various activities
· To carry out cash handling duties, taking monies and giving change to customers for admission to the centre
· To receive and process credit cards and cheques
· To take bookings for the facilities and all classes within the Facility
· To sell items which are available for resale in the reception area
· To deal with enquiries from the public, both in person and on the telephone
· To provide information on programming and promotional events within the centre and Live Active Leisure
· Ensure all usage figures are appropriately recorded through MRM
Clerical:
· Reconciliation of daily banking
· Processing orders and invoices for authorisation by designated members of staff
· Maintenance of general filing system
· Word processing of various documents as necessary
Financial:
· Preparation and processing of all purchase ledger invoices ensuring they are authorised by the correct member of staff and coded accordingly. Updating and maintaining the order system to account for all budgetary spending
· To ensure sales ledger invoices are issued for charge accounts and any other admission charges on credit and ensure payment is received accordingly
· Processing weekly income returns, assisting in the preparation of statistical returns where appropriate
· Maintenance and upkeep of petty cash system
· Preparation and collation of financial year-end information
· Maintain and reconcile retail vending machines
· To assist, with other appropriate members of staff, in the security of cash within the building
· To ensure adequate change is available for use in reception
General
Key Tasks
· To ensure the smooth operational running of the MRM system and report any faults accordingly
· To order stationary, printed materials and general office equipment within budgetary constraints
· To ensure you are physically fit to carry out your duties at all times
· Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
· To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required
