Job Description
The School Support Co-ordinator will be a full member of the school leadership team and will take responsibility for the support service element of the School Improvement Plan. The key aims of the School Support Co-ordinator will be to ensure that teachers are fully supported in their teaching and that the school leadership team are supported in further improving standards.
Responsibilities
Management Responsibilities: Day to day management of the school’s administration and Accountability for the support service element of the plan.
Financial Responsibilities: Advise the Rector and senior management team on all aspects relating to school finances and budget management.
Personnel Responsibilities: Management of administrative and service support staff (including Review and disciplinary procedures). Support for librarian, auxiliaries, general assistant and technical staff.
Management of School Administrative Systems: Establishment, maintenance and development of management information systems to support financial, staff, pupil attainment and records, and resource management. These include: Seemis and Scottish Qualifications Authority co-ordination.
Buildings and Resources: Administer events such as Prizegiving, Activities Days, Parents’ Meetings and seminars.
The Individual
Experience or participation in the management or administration of any service related to education, including financial, personnel or facilities management.
Commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
The postholder will be educated to HNC/HND level or an equivalent professional qualification.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn as part of a Senior Leadership Team.
